Taking a Creative Writing Class

 I decided to take a creative writing class last month. I signed up for a course at Colorado Free University. 

It was for three and an half hours long. It was last Saturday and the instructor was Patty Martin. It was a 

very good course and I am glad I went. We did different exercises and then read them out loud. It help me 

get a better handle on characters and setting. 

The book I started I think I will be starting over on the characters might keep a few things but they need a 

major overhaul. I am not looking forward to that but I think it needs to be done. 😖 The joy of writing. 

I will be sitting my butt down on Saturday and Sunday to start the process. To bad I could not work on it 

all in one day but I do have to have clean clothes and dishes. No one else can do them for me. 

I also need to clean up my desk. I have too many distractions still when I try to write. But it is kind of 

hard  to make sure no distractions are around me because I am in a 315 foot studio. Always something 

around to catch my eye.

I also need to make a map. I really do not want to do that but it will help me keep the position of the 

countries and topology straight. I suck at drawing. Oh, well I will do it but I can make it colorful with all 

my colored pencils I have. 😅

Deciding to write a book

 At the beginning of 2023 I got an idea for a book. I wrote down my idea and promptly did not do anything further. Then in November of 2023 I decided for once I am going to do something with a book idea and write a book. I decided that it will be a Fantasy book.
